Please find the details of Oracle HRMS Techno Functional Training

have seen many people attend training but still find difficulty in clearing the interview. Reason being, in interviews, real time scenarios and real time issues are discussed which are not covered in normal trainings. In order to fill this gap, I have come up with a unique idea to create a training that should be based on real time requirement, issues and its solutions.

Once student will complete this course, he/ she will feel like real like experience and will be in much better position to justify his position. One more attractive thing is that all objects have been developed on vision instance so that students can learn and implement these solutions of their vision instance.
Training is going to start on August 1, 2015 in Sharja Al Nahda

Following is the details of this training

Latest announcement from Steven Chan blog by Elke Phelps-Development-Oracle on Jul 20, 2015
I'm pleased to announce that Oracle Internet Directory 11gR1 Patchset 7 (11.1.1.9) is now certified for use in the Oracle Access Manager integration with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i (11.5.10.2) and 12 (12.1.3+, 12.2.2+).
Oracle E-Business Suite comes with native user authentication and management capabilities out-of-the-box. If you need more-advanced features, it's also possible to integrate it with Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle Single Sign-On or Oracle Access Manager, which allows you to link the E-Business Suite with third-party tools like Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Kerberos.

For details about third-party integration architectures, see: Supported Configurations
Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.9.0 can be integrated with these single sign-on solutions for EBS environments:
  • Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and Directory Integration Platform (DIP) from Fusion Middleware 11gR1 Patchset 7 (11.1.1.9.0) with Oracle Access Manager 11gR2 (11.1.2.0) with an Oracle E-Business Suite system (Release 11i (11.5.10.2), 12.1.3+ or 12.2.2+).
  • Oracle Internet Directory and Directory Integration Platform from Fusion Middleware 11gR1 Patchset 6 (11.1.1.7.0) with Oracle Access Manager 11gR1 Patchset 2 (11.1.1.7.0) with an Oracle E-Business Suite system (Release 12.1.3+).
Platform certifications
Oracle Internet Directory is certified to run on any operating system for which Oracle WebLogic Server 11g is certified. Refer to the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g System Requirements for more details.

Integration with Oracle Internet Directory involves components spanning several different suites of Oracle products. There are no restrictions on which platform any particular component may be installed so long as the platform is supported for that component.

Latest announcement in the month of August 2015 through Steven Chan Blog By Steven Chan - EBS-Oracle on Aug 05, 2015
Authors: Andy Tremayne and Deepak Bhatnagar, Oracle Development
Database In-Memory is one of a number of options that can be deployed to address Oracle E-Business Suite performance concerns and scalability requirements without the need for any application changes.
We are pleased to announce the publication of a new white paper that can help with this (including links to patches that you will need to apply): The paper starts by providing strategic advice and guidelines that help you decide which objects to populate into Database In-Memory (DBIM), and how to size the In-Memory Column Store (IMCS). It provides a list of best practices and explains the complexities and limitations of using DISTRIBUTE/DUPLICATE with Oracle RAC.
The examples in this paper take a step away from the classic headline feature of analytical reports that you might have been expecting. Instead, they show how DBIM can be applied to three novel use cases:
    • The Order Organizer Form has a huge number of queryable fields that would all need to be indexed for optimal performance. DBIM provides a 10X improvement in the end-user response time.
    • The Initialize Credit Summaries concurrent program is unusual the optimization is based on an INSERT statement. It is also interesting as the example shows why simply populating objects into the IMCS can result in a performance reduction – in this case spilling to disk. Simply populating the objects into DBIM improved the time by 1.5X; further tuning improved on this to provide an overall gain of 3.5X.
    • The Receiving Transaction Processor had two long-running queries that reduced from 7.8 hrs to 4.85 mins representing about a 100X increase in performance. The overall runtime was about 4X faster.
One of the key aspects in the paper is describing how to use Oracle E-Business Suite Application Affinity with Oracle RAC. It describes how to overcome some of the limitations of Non-Engineered Systems (commodity hardware), and explains how it can also be used to benefit Oracle Engineered Systems.

The overall objective of Audit and Control Requirements is to consider audits and controls that will reduce or minimize the risk of those transactions being executed that place organization assets or information in jeopardy. Such transactions, if executed, should be detectable and their recurrence prevented.
Remember to include functional and manual audits and controls, as well as automated background controls. By categorizing these types, you can further describe the needs of each area. Be sure to address the following:
    • Who or what is dictating control?
    • Why do certain data, functions, or other elements require control?
    • Why do certain data, functions, or other elements require audit?
    • Who or what will perform these audits or controls?
    • Is timing or sequencing critical to the requirement?
    • What is the level and type of control (field, form, process, host, and so on)?
    • What impact does audit and controls create for normal business operations?

In R11 each responsibility is associated with an Operating Unit (OU), to access data from different OU, user has to switch responsibility. In R12 while it still maintains the data restriction across OUs, but user can access different OU without changing the responsibility as long as he was given access to different OU.
This feature allows you to reduce the number of responsibilities and allow a user to work more efficiently – not having to switch between responsibilities.

      • Represent goods or services as lines with distributions tied to each line
      • Facilitates the capture and transfer of pertinent information from Oracle Projects and Oracle Assets

NEW & ENHANCED FEATURES OF ORACLE CASH MANAGEMENT R12
In R12, banks are moved into Trading Community Architecture (TCA). Now Cash Management owns the internal bank setup definition.
Benefits of new Bank Account model:
There is a central place to define internal bank accounts. So with centralized user interface, users can reduce the number of access points to manage bank accounts
With the help of Multi-Org Access Control, we can explicitly grant account access to multiple operating units/functions and users, which improves the visibility and control of bank accounts
A single Legal Entity is granted ownership of each internal bank account and One or more Organizations are granted usage rights. So, a single bank statement can be reconciled across multiple Operating Units, which helps to simplify reconciliation process.
Reconciliation options can now be defined at the bank account level, which provides more flexibility and control to the reconciliation process.

    Inconsistent database recovery

    Introduction:

This document provides high level steps in order to recover the database when all the archivelogs and the redo logs of the database has been lost.

Issue details and steps taken to resolve:

There might be cases when you end up having no backups and the disks of the database gets crashed or some one has deleted all the archivelogs of the database in a test environment where data might be critical.

The below is the error message received when we tried a recovery of the database.

    SQL> recover database until cancel using backup controlfile;

    ORA-00279: change 456781 generated at 10/19/2013 14:56:44 needed for thread 1
    ORA-00289: suggestion : 234.arc
    Specify log: {=suggested | filename | AUTO | CANCEL}
    cancel
ORA-01547: warning: RECOVER succeeded but OPEN RESETLOGS would get error below
ORA-01195: online backup of file 1 needs more recovery to be consistent
    ORA-01110: data file 1: ‘SYSTEM01.dbf’
    ORA-01112: media recovery not started
    SQL> alter database open resetlogs;
    alter database open resetlogs
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01195: online backup of file 1 needs more recovery to be consistent
    ORA-01110: data file 1: ‘SYSTEM01.dbf’

We tried getting any of the old backups and the archivelogs copy from the disk mirrors but unfortunately nothing seems to have helped.

After doing lot of research, we ended up setting up the below parameters and then started the database which helped in opening the database in an in-consistent state. Update the below parameters in the parameter file (if running in spfile, create a copy of the same).

    _ALLOW_RESETLOGS_CORRUPTION = TRUE
    UNDO_MANAGEMENT = MANUAL

Comment out the other parameters related to Undo tablespace, etc so that Oracle will not check the undo / rollback segments.

Once the above is done, startup the database in MOUNT state and then open the database with resetlogs.
If this fails with a ORA-600 error, then it might be because of the SCN being not updated correctly in the datafile headers and hence the SCN can be bumped slightly by restarting the database couple of times otherwise setting a numeric value for the “_minimum_giga_scn” parameter.

Since the datafiles header is not in a consistent state, the best option is to export and imnport the data into a new database. In our case, it was simple as the size of the database was around 120GB only.

References : Database team worked with self in this issue. Also, this should not be tried in production environments or big databases.

    Thanks.

Crystal Palace v Arsenal: Chờ Sanchez gạt bỏ cơn ác mộng Derby

    $
